Today was an early start at 3 AM. The kids arrived with much enthusiasm to my surprise. I soon learned that they stayed up all night but they were all out within 15 minutes. It was a long 16 hours in the van with stops for gas and lunch. Can you believe we had no potty breaks? We stopped in Childress, Texas where half the group ate at McDonalds and the other half ate at Sonic. After some refreshing lunch and a stretch break we were on the road again. We arrived at Trinity Lutheran around 8:30 PM after a pizza buffet and it was time to relax. Off to bed for another early day and 6 more hours on the road.

Fact #1: It was a 16 hour drive and it took less than 3 hours to get from Colorado Springs to the Texas border. The other 13 were in Texas.
Lunch time couldn't get here fast enough! Nothing like a good Sonic burger, and they had a special just for us. Childress, Texas
